Hungering for making something of myself, reversing the course of life, and your touch, I felt that I myself acted like an old dog that was going round and round again to make a vain attempt at the pursuit of its own tail in a frenzy.

After I failed to catch my own tail, I did not turn into a few sandwiches short of a picnic. Instead of going bananas, I settled down and became mild, quiet, sensible, and respectable in my deportment; I came back to myself immediately and figured out what was what, reality and fancy.

Love is a life’s work in sweets and sweats of the human spirit. It is not for desire and least of all for the impulse to meet the whim of the moment, but to create out of the materials, of the human spirit something that inspires sincerity, perfectibility and beauty in us all for good.

Love is all about the mind and the soul, minds that can assimilate and souls that are congenial. Without mind and soul, your self-centered attitude sinks you in the moral turpitude. You become a slave to irrational passion. Of your lover what you ask is not love but lust.

As Aldous Huxley says, “Experience is not what happens to a man. It is what a man does with what happens to him.” It is true of everyone’s life. You are never truly loved if you do not learn and devote yourself to love. The process itself is the foundation of love.

Day by day, night by night, year in year out, you will be faithful to the promises that are made, faithful to the recollections that never fade. You will be faithful to the dreams you dream, the things you do and say together in the days of your love coming into being. You will be unwavering to your love that has survived life’s ups and downs, your love that is unchanging and unchanged by the Fates’ smiles or frowns. However the years may be long and weary, you will sincerely cherish your golden memory.
